Hi! I’m Shaylee — Lainey’s mama, Ricky’s wife, the blind date photoshoot host, and your photographer (aka the photogirl ).

 

I’m a PNW girl at heart, now proudly rooted in Southeast Texas, and I truly couldn’t be happier here. Even though I’ll always miss the waterfalls, mountains, and moody forests of Idaho and Oregon… Texas has become home in the best way — and I love creating art here for families, couples, and seniors who want their memories captured beautifully.

 

So how did I end up behind the camera?

During Covid, I picked up a camera simply because I was bored and craving something creative… and I never imagined it would turn into the business and passion that it is today. In 2021, I packed up my life for a fresh start and moved to Georgia — and two weeks later, I met my now husband, Ricky. After a few military moves, we made our way back to his hometown of Baytown, where we’re now raising our beautiful, spunky and beautiful daughter, Lainey.

 

Over the years, photography has become so much more than “just pictures” to me. I’m here for the moments you’ll want to remember forever — the in-between laughs, the quiet glances, the proud tears, the tiny hands, the big milestones, and the chapters you don’t even realize are fleeting until they’re gone.

 

My style is warm and intentional — while still keeping you comfortable, confident, and completely yourself. I love creating images that feel like you stepped into a magazine, but still look like your real life (just a little more polished and magical).
